Construction of College of Education and STEM+Ag academic buildings

The construction of the new College of Education building and the STEM+Ag Complex will take place at the former Hill Residence Halls location beginning in Spring 2023 with an estimated total completion timeframe of Spring 2026.

South Donahue Drive construction planned for water valve replacements

A turning lane closure for Devall Drive and a lane shift near Woodfield Drive will occur along South Donahue Drive April 19 through June 15 during the replacement of seven water valves.

Near Woodfield Drive, a lane shift with traffic barrels will occur during the day, northbound on South Donahue Drive. The turning lane for Devall Drive from South Donahue Drive also will be closed during the day.

No work will take place May 5-9 due to graduation.

Partial Duncan Drive closure to begin May 10

A section of Duncan Drive at the intersection of West Samford Avenue will be closed May 10 through Aug. 1. The closure will allow for utilities to be connected to the College of Education construction site.

Sidewalk closure between Student Act and Martin Aquatics begins May 8

A section of sidewalk between the Student Activities Center and Martin Aquatics will close May 8 through Aug. 5. The closure will take place while heating, cooling and air quality improvements take place for the Student Activities Center.

Peet Theatre parking lot closure to begin May 15

The Peet Theatre parking lot will close May 15 through Aug. 14 while electrical improvements take place.

The quantity of ADA parking spaces within the Peet Theatre parking lot will be reduced during construction but will remain accessible via a temporary entrance. Overflow and additional parking should use the Stadium Parking Deck.
