During the upcoming holiday break, Facilities Management will carry out the following construction and maintenance projects that will temporarily affect campus roads and parking areas.
Road closure:
A section of Roosevelt Drive adjacent to the Spidle Hall demolition site will be closed to thru traffic Dec. 29 through Jan. 2 as repairs are made to the storm sewer. Traffic will be routed through the Comer Hall parking lot during this time. The closure area is highlighted in red on the campus map.
Parking lot closure:
Twenty-five parking spaces in the Upchurch parking lot next to Comer Hall will be closed Dec. 15 through Jan. 6 as utility work takes place. A temporary access drive will be provided to connect the Upchurch and Funchess halls parking lots. The closure area is highlighted in red on the campus map.
Intermittent parking lot closures for restriping:
The parking areas listed below will only be closed while restriping is actively taking place in that specific location. Once work in an area is complete, the lot or roadway will reopen for use.
Dec. 22 – 23
- Engineering Drive
- Tichenor Square
- Ross Square
Dec. 29 – Jan. 4 (except Jan. 1)
- War Eagle Way
- Heisman Drive (road striping)
- Campus Green and Stadium deck (the structure will also be pressure washed during this time).
