The intersection of Duncan and Lem Morrison drives will transition to a four-way stop, also known as an all-way stop, beginning Friday, July 26.
“This effort is to address the increased vehicular traffic at the intersection and provide improved pedestrian crossing of Lem Morrison Drive,” said Nikki Preston, lead engineer for the project.
In 2022, Duncan Drive was extended from Lem Morrison to Woodfield Drive. After the extension was complete, Facilities Management conducted a study mapping traffic patterns at the intersection.
The study found an all-way stop is warranted at the intersection based on the volume of vehicle and pedestrian traffic, bicycle movements and changes in traffic patterns.
Intersection transition work began last week and will continue leading up to July 26. No road or sidewalk closures will take place during the transition.
