Haley Center Lobby

Lobby Regulations

The Haley Center lobby regulations, requirements, and restrictions are as follows. Make sure to abide by all these rules during your reservation.

  • Means of egress shall be continuously maintained free of obstructions or impediments to full instant use in case of fire or other emergency in accordance with NFPA Life Safety Code 5-1.9.1.
  • No furniture, decorations, or other objects shall be placed to obstruct exits, access to exits, egress there from, or visibility thereof in accordance with NFPA Life Safety Code 5-1.9.2.2.
  • All furnishings and decorations shall be removed from corridors each day by no later than 4:30 p.m. Any displays mounted must be completely removed from surfaces (this includes adhesives). You may furnish your own tables and chairs, or lease them from Facilities for a fee. Please call 844-4357 to make arrangements to lease.
  • No sale of products is permitted without prior written approval of the Building Coordinator and the Bookstore Director.
  • Applicants are encouraged to set up exhibits along the outside walls of the exterior courtyards located on the West and East side of Haley Center when weather permits.
  • Placement of exhibits (tables and chairs) is permitted on the 1st floor along the outside walls of the lobby corridors only. Placement of items in front of elevators and in exit passageways is prohibited.
  • See floor diagram for permissible set up areas.
  • The organization sponsoring this event is responsible for: maintaining personnel at table(s); keeping corridors free of obstructions so as not to impede pedestrian traffic; the conduct of event personnel; and accountability for any financial loss of University property or equipment.   • Organizations/individuals listed on this request must abide by: all appropriate SGA policies and procedures as listed in the Tiger Cub; all policies and procedures regarding advertisement and distribution, speech and demonstration as listed in the Tiger Cub; and all Federal, State, and Local laws and ordinances.
  • The use of amplified sound equipment is prohibited.
  • No candles, fire or flame of any kind my be used.
  • The Office of Safety and Environmental Health’s Fire Protection Engineer or the Haley Center Building Coordinator has the right to require that the exhibit change its set-up and if these instructions are not followed to revoke the permit.

Please maintain your activites in the areas defined by the floor diagram. The designated areas are for reservations only. Please fill out the reservation form if you wish to reserve these spaces.

Fill out the form to submit an application for rental of Eagle’s Nest. Reservation requests must be submitted at least two weeks prior to their requested date.
