What made you want to join Facilities Management?
While working as a journeyman lineman at Opelika Power, I saw an opportunity in facilities management and applied for the position. I felt like this was a chance to advance in my career. I was also excited to be on a team that plays a crucial role in maintaining such an important electrical system throughout Auburn.
What is your favorite thing about working with the Facilities team?
I appreciate the work-life balance that comes with this role. I also enjoy being a part of the team that is responsible for ensuring the reliability of our electrical system.
What encouraged you to pursue a career in Electrical Distribution?
After high school, I joined the Air Force as a flightline mechanic. When my dad got sick, I moved back home to take care of him and began working as a lineman with the local power company. I chose electrical distribution because it offers a stable job with good pay and benefits.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, we particularly enjoy hunting and fishing.
What is your favorite Auburn tradition?
As a lifelong Auburn football fan, my favorite tradition must be the pre-game experience. The eagle’s flight and the team entrance never fail to create an electrifying atmosphere.
