What encouraged you to pursue a career in your field?

I worked in housekeeping for four years before I started working at Auburn, and I enjoyed it. Although it was hard work at times, I liked the idea of working at my own pace.

What made you want to join Facilities Management?

I was offered better pay with steady work hours (Monday through Friday). This gave me a chance to attend church, which is very important to me.

What is your favorite thing about your job at Auburn University?

As an employee at Auburn, you really become “all in family.” Your co-workers become part of your family, getting to know their life, encouraging each other becomes important to your growth.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?

Spending time with my grandkids.

What is a fun fact most people wouldn’t know about you?

I am pretty good with a skill saw and enjoy doing my own DIY projects.
