Cole Shafer

Cole Shafer is a Senior Application Systems Analyst in Facilities Info Tech, which is part of Business and Administration Technology and provides essential support to Facilities Management. Cole is being spotlighted for the behind-the-scenes work he does every day to make it easier for Facilities teams to serve the Auburn campus. His efforts help turn complex systems into usable, reliable tools that employees depend on to do their jobs well. Coworkers consistently point to his steady approach, technical insight, and ability to move work forward without unnecessary friction. The impact of his work is felt far beyond his own team.
A key part of Cole’s role is improving processes so Facilities Management can operate efficiently and respond to campus needs. Colleagues describe him as someone who can take a complicated request and break it down into practical solutions that actually work in real-world situations. He pays close attention to how systems affect end users and refines his work until it supports their needs effectively. These process improvements help eliminate barriers, reduce delays, and support more consistent service delivery.
